The ride takes about 35 minutes; light rail runs every 6-15 minutes, depending on time of day. Light rail trips run every 10 minutes during the day, every 10-15 minutes at night, and every 30-60 minutes at night. Trains operate every 10 minutes at peak times, and generally every 10-15 minutes during the rest of the day. Weekend services operate every 20 minutes during daytime hours and every 30 minutes at late-night hours.

At the core of Portlands world-class mass transit system is MAX Light Rail, which connects Portlands more than 90 stations in the central city. MAXs Orange Line uses the Tilikum Bridge, the first new bridge in Portland since 1973, and the nations longest dedicated exclusively to transit, bikes, and pedestrians. The Orange Line runs from Malden southward, through the heart of Boston, into Jamaica Plain.
The Red Line runs south from Cambridge through Boston and south Boston, with branches in 2 sections just south of JFK/UMass. The Red Line runs from Revere, on the North Shore, to Boston, where it ends near the historic neighborhood of Beacon Hill. One of Metros newest light-rail lines runs from Downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica, with stops notable for Staples Center (a stop it shares with the Blue Line), the University of Southern California, Exposition Park, Downtown Culver City, and Downtown Santa Monica, where it arrives notably blocks from the beach.
This light rail connection between the Expo/Crenshaw stop on the E Line and Aviation/LAX stop on the C Line would bring service to Inglewood and Leimert Park. The Green Lines upcoming extension, also known as the Southwest Corridor, will link directly with the Blue Lines end of the line, sharing service with the Target Field Station. Nine rail lines serve 53 stations in Denvers southeast, southwest, west, and eastern rail corridors.
Parking is available at the Fannin South Park & Ride, which is located next to Fannin South rail station, and various locations along the rail lines. Parking is also available along streets in all parts of South End, as well as 11 Park-and-Ride lots on the Light Rail Line, most of which are free.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport used to run a shuttle bus between two terminals, but the light rail line has replaced this service. The Blue Line stations serving Lindbergh Terminal and Humphrey Terminal at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are open 24/7. No ticket is required for travel between the 2 terminals, and trains operate between those 2 stations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
A rail-to-airport shuttle service is available for no cost from terminals to stations, which helps to transport passengers who may have mobility needs or extra baggage. This shuttle runs seven days a week, from 5 am until midnight, from the Link Light Rail Station downtown at the airports parking garage.
From there, purchase your ticket at the kiosk, then take Sound Transit Link light rail, which takes passengers between the UW Station (northmost station) and the Angle Lake station (southernmost station). To get from Seattle Center to Sea-Tac Airport, purchase a Monorail ticket from the Monorail Station in Seattle Center, and take a monorail train to Westlake Station. The last full ride of the day starts at 11pm, arriving on the far end of the line just after midnight.
Dozens of bus routes are scheduled to link up with trains at METRO Blue Line stations, making it easier to get to work, shopping, or anywhere else you need to go. The lines are lit up at the front of every train, so you are never confused as to which train you should get on. There are ticket machines and validaters at over 90 stations, but riders can also pay the fare with their phones using Hops FastPass System. Signs at every station tell when Portlands MAX Light Rail is coming, and which lines are scheduled.
Washington is the first train system in the nation that offers full-service, tap-free payment options at every single station. Students hold an All-Access Pass from CATS, tied to their 49ers ID card, to get unlimited rides on the CATS LYNX Light Rail, Trolley, Special Transit Service (STS), and local and express bus routes, including the airport connector, the LYNX Special Transit Service (STS).
